In my previous post I discussed my newfound love of the tv show True Blood. I still love it, but with all love comes frustrations. And I am frustrated. Today at work we actually had a few of the books that the show is based on. So I bought the first two. Later I googled to see how many books there were and I found out things that brought on my frustration.

(1) There are like 9 books right now. Apparently the series still isn't done.
(2) At the end of book 9 Sookie is single?
(3) Watching season 1 I was kind of frustrated by the whole Sookie, Bill, Eric, Sam love square, but supposedly there's even more men that enter Sookie's life.

Twilight spoiled me. I discovered it late. All the books had been released. So after I read, and loved, the first book I was able to run to Barnes and Noble and get the other three. I then discovered Edward and Bella's happily ever after. I was wrong to compare Sookie and Bill's love to Edward and Bella's. True Blood is much, much more realistic. Some 16 year old doesn't meet the most gorgeous man in the world and fall in love under impossible circumstances, but everything works out in the end and they live happily ever after.

No, Sookie is way different from Bella. She knows all the things she'd lose in a relationship with Bill and she's not sure she wants that. She has other options and she keeps herself open to that. That's not a bad thing. I'm just really romantic and want Sookie and Bill to end up together. I don't know why. Bill has his faults. Maybe Eric will grow on me. Maybe these other guys will, too. Maybe I'll read all these books and think someone else is better for Sookie than Bill. There's just something about Bill though... Well for the moment, at least.

I have a lot of books to read. Ugh when I get to #9 and have nothing else to read I'm going to be frustrated all over again. I haven't had to wait for books to be released since the Harry Potter series! I guess I better get started.

If you think Vampires are cool, then there are either 2 reasons why:
(1) You've always have a fascination with Vampires, in general
(2) You are a Twi-hard (obsessive Twilight fan)

At first I thought I was #2, but now I can say I'm #1.

I've enjoyed every Vampire movie I've seen. Twilight, Underworld, Van Helsing, Interview with a Vampire, Dracula, etc etc. And now recently I've become a fan of True Blood. Ahhh, it's so good. I love Twilight, but I think True Blood is a smidgen bit better. It's for a more mature audience so there's more blood, sex and action. Although, Twilight is somewhat of a stronger love story, but I only say that having read all four books and knowing how it ends. I've only seen season 1 of True Blood and I haven't read any of the books. Maybe it's love story is stronger than I think.

Next time I'm at a bookstore and have some spare cash to spend, I want to try reading some Vampire books that aren't by Stephenie Meyer. I definitely want to read the books True Blood is inspired by. I think I want to get something about actual Vampires, too. Ya know, myths about them and whether or not they exist.

Vampires are fascinating, aren't they?!

If I haven't made it obvious, I will now. I love Twilight. I freaked out about the New Moon clip shown at the MTV Movie Awards. Same with the two clips at Comic Con. And recently with the new, few seconds, clip of Bella and Jacob. Needless to say, I cannot wait for the actual trailer to be released.

However, I will not be paying $7 - $10 to go see Bandslam just to see it (as much as I would like to see the gloriousness of shirtless Rob and Taylor on such a huge screen). Especially since it will hit the internet the second it's released. Maybe before. A french version of the trailer has already hit YouTube. Well it looks like the trailer, or at least most of it. Anyways, you get what I'm saying. The trailer will be on the internet (to view for freee) as soon as Bandslam is released, if not before. I'm sure the movie is lovely and whatnot, but it is a recession and I personally will not be spending money to watch a movie that I will be uninterested in as soon as the previews are over. Maybe I'll rent it when it comes out.

Sorry, Vanessa Hudgens! I'm sure the movie will still do well. New Moon (aka Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner) + your nude photo scandal = interest = $$$

I have watched Jon & Kate + 8 since almost the beginning. Before their show was such a success. Before they were in the tabloids. Before the paparazzi followed them.

I can see how Kate could be hard to live with, but I do not think this is all her fault. I mean, they had the twins when Jon was like 23. And then the 6 when he was 27ish. Having so many children and so much responsible so young obviously has made Jon resent Kate. He didn't get to party in his 20s, so he has to do it now. Also, Kate is becoming pretty successful from the show. She has her books and her children's clothing line, etc etc. With their family being so famous, Jon can't exactly go out and have a regular 9 to 5 job. So he's stuck watching the kids while she's off touring the country on her book tours. 'All babysitting and no play makes Jon a dull boy'. I get it. But that's no reason for him behave and act the way he did previously this year (and even now). To be honest, I used to have a total crush on Jon Gosselin. I don't know why now. He has become such a douche! The earrings, the Ed Hardy, the 20 something girlfriends, buying a new car, getting a motorcycle. It all just screams midlife crisis! Oh, and I just love how in the beginning of all this drama Jon was all "One day my kids are going to google me and I'm going to have to explain myself and hope they realize it's all just crap." Way to add to that google search, Jon! You're kids are going be so proud!

So while Jon is currently in the middle of a love triangle, Kate is lying low focusing on the kids. She's handling things wayy better. Yeah, she was pretty awful to Jon on the show in the past. But she did not deserve a divorce. Especially not such a messy and public one. On the new episodes she's a lot more laid back and not so OCD-like. So maybe a divorce is what's best for the two of them. Kate finally got a chill pill and Jon has freedom to be as douchey as he wants. They both win. Well, they both win if you consider the new Jon as a positive thing (which I do not).

So I guess it's pretty clear that I'm ........ Team Kate!

This blog is just to address the total lack of respect the media and crazed fans have for Robert Pattinson's privacy. Actually, this briefly addresses it (I could discuss it extensively).

Robert is so down to earth and real. He is a serious outfit repeater and almost always wears the same pair of shoes. He doesn't feel the need to go out and buy a flashy new wardrobe. He completely doesn't care about his appearance, yet he is utterly breathtaking. *sighh* And you can just tell how serious he is about his job as an actor. He really puts himself into his roles. I swear he is going to be the next Johnny Depp. I wish people could focus on his amazing talent and quit worrying about who's bed he's in at night. Ughh, don't even get me started on that horrendous YouTube video of him being chased by a mob in New York!

I don't want to point a finger at all fans. A lot of fans feel the exact way I do and just want Rob to be left alone. I love hearing about people meeting him and being nice and calm. I love when he goes days without being seen or photographed. Doesn't he always look so miserable in paparazzi photos? I cannot believe he was hit by a taxi (barely hit, but still). I love the Twilight saga. Love the books. Loving the movies so far. But I honestly can't wait until it's gone and the craze dies down. I want Rob (and the other actors, too) to be able to be an actor without all this craziness. I mean the Jonas brothers are actually pretty decent musicians, but will probably never win a Grammy because nobody takes them seriously as musicians. I want Rob to be taken seriously as an actor. Musician, too. If he decides to persue it (which I really hope he does because his voice is incredible). I don't want him to be typecast as that tween heartthrob from Twilight his whole life!

*in my best Chris Crocker impression* "LEAVE ROBERT PATTINSON ALONEEEE!!"

Summit Entertainment is the company behind the Twilight movies. Recently they recast the role of Vampire Victoria and it has caused a major uproar amongst fans.

Rachelle Lefevre (right) is being replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard (left) in the 3rd installment, Eclipse. Supposedly they're replacing Rachelle due to a scheduling conflict of 10 days. I think that's complete bull. I really do. I think Summit Entertainment just wants to have Ron Howard's frickin' daughter in the movie so they can feel cool and special.

I've seen several online petitions with thousands of signatures to get Rachelle her role back, but Bryce is already in Vancouver to start rehearsals. So I highly doubt Summit will be changing their minds. Since the part of Victoria is pretty small, I don't see Summit losing any box office money over this. And the fact that Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will be shirtless in the upcoming film New Moon is bound to bring more people to the theaters than with Twilight.

I thought Rachelle was a wonderful Victoria. I had hope that her role could be saved just like Taylor Lautner's had previously, but I think this decision is final. I hope she continues to have a great career, regardless. I hope she goes and makes some super awesome movie that scores huge at the box office so she can have the last laugh :)

Rachelle Rocks ; Summit Sucks!

------ Update: August 6th ------

Then there are the conspiracy theories. Rumour has it Summit wants Academy Award winner Ron Howard to direct Breaking Dawn, the movie based on the last book in the series.

Breaking Dawn was the worse reviewed of the four Twilight novels and many feel it will be the most difficult to convert to film. Having a guy like Ron Howard behind the camera would definitely help. And, oh by the way, Ron Howard just happens to be Bryce Howard's father. (Source: http://ad.vu/yc22)

*gasp* I'm totally buying into that conspiracy theory!

It makes sense. Sneaky sneaky Summit!!
